Philosophies of Little Country Childcare

We offer a warm and nurturing environment using structured and hands on experiences where children learn by doing.  We believe that children learn and develop by manipulating their environment.  The work of learning for a child is through play.  Through their experiences in our program children will develop problem solving, social skills, language development, emotional and perceptual skills.  Our teachers will provide an ongoing, quality, nurturing and educational environment for each child.  Each child and parent (s) will be warmly greeted and treated with respect.  We also welcome and encourage parent participation.  The owners and staff at Little Country Childcare will take special care to ensure that each family feels welcome and departs knowing that their business is truly appreciated.

Little Country Preschool Program

The preschool program offers a variety of learning experiences where each child will be spending time learning about the environment around them and how it affects the way we live.  The Program provides well balanced monthly themes that stimulate and assist in social, emotional and intellectual growth.

Each child will grow and develop a positive self esteem through both interactive and parallel play.  The language and music program will stimulate and encourage the children to use their imaginations.  Arts and crafts allow for opportunities to experience and develop creativity.

Meal time is a stimulating experience for every child.  The program incorporates a family style, where everyone can socialize and get to know one another.

Selected outdoor equipment and activities provide stimulation and assist in developing fine motor skills.

The primary responsibility of this program is to ensure that parents and children are satisfied and that each child is growing at a pace that suits his or her needs.  That he or she is ready to begin kindergarten with the self confidence and has appropriately developed the motor skills they will use for the rest of their lives.
